Do you use the Eagle Rock Avenue Bi-County Bridge on your commute or to run daily errands and get to appointments? If so, you’ll need to arrange to take an alternative route?

What’s going on?

This project was supposed to start back in 2012 and take about 12 months, but was postponed. Now due to deterioration, the Township of East Hanover, and the Borough of Roseland and Essex County have agreed that the construction project is overdue and would be more safely completed if it involved a full bridge closure. The project started on May 18 and expected to be completed by September 18.

What are my options?

You’re alternative routes include utilizing Route 280, Eisenhower Parkway, and Ridgedale Avenue. The detour is about 5 miles so please account accordingly for time.
