It’s hard to believe there aren’t too many days left in 2017. Do you know how you’ll be ringing in the new year? From cruises to comedy shows, there are plenty of fantastic events taking place in and around New Jersey. Here are some of our favorites.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks and Dinner Cruise, Spirit of New Jersey, Lincoln Harbor Marina, Weehawken

This three-hour cruise takes place on Sunday, December 31 from 10 pm – 1 am with boarding taking place at 9 pm. You’ll enjoy amazing views of New York City’s skyline, a dinner buffet, DJ and dancing, and a fireworks display at the Statue of Liberty set to synchronized music.

New Year’s Gala, Crystal Springs Resort, Vernon

Crystal Springs Resort offers two party packages: one for the over 21 crowd and one for families. The over 21 party takes place in the Biosphere and includes a live DJ and dancing, hors d’oeuvres, open bar, midnight champagne toast and screens to watch the ball drop in Times Square.

For families, Crystal Springs has booked the Emerald ballroom for a cocktail reception, hors d’oeuvres, sit-down dinner, open bar, and dancing. Overnight stays are available at the resort. 

Mountain Creek’s New Year’s Eve Bash, Mountain Creek Resort, Vernon

Mountain Creek Resort’s Red Tail Lodge is offering a variety of ways to ring in the new year including a four-course dinner and New Year’s Eve bash with a live DJ, party favors, midnight champagne toast, midnight fireworks, and late-night buffet and drink specials. Party options start at 8 pm or 10 pm.

New Year’s Eve at the Comedy Shoppe, String Street Pub, Newton

Get in on this comedy show complete with a four-course dinner, dessert buffet, noisemakers, and midnight champagne toast. Featuring comedians Joe Conte, KP Burke, and Mark Riccadonna. $99 per person.

New Year’s Eve Glitter Ball Getaway, Congress Hall, Cape May

Here’s an overnight celebration featuring dinner and dancing to the Tribeca band. Includes a special pass to the Boiler Room after-party. Margate’s Annual Polar Bear Plunge

Every January 1st hundreds gather at Robert’s Place in Margate NJ and parade over to the beach for an annual New Year’s Day plunge into the icy Atlantic.  In fact, Dr. Silverman has partaken in this event twice!  Maybe you will see him there this year, if he is brave enough…
