Ask someone where their dream vacation would be, and you’re probably not going to hear many people say “New Jersey.”

But people shouldn’t write off our state so soon! After all, we’ve got beaches, bike trails, resorts, spas, shopping, and tons of other attractions that can keep even the most restless traveler busy.

Don’t believe me? Check out this list of awesome places to visit in New Jersey:

Atlantic City Boardwalk

I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t love the beach! Even if you’re not in the mood to swim or catch some rays, you can still enjoy some time near the water hanging out at the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

Not only does it offer shopping (including high-end stores like Gucci!) – it has casinos, restaurants, a Ferris wheel, food stands, and more, so you’ll never run out of things to do! Plus, it’s clean and safe – perfect for you and your loved ones if you’re looking for a fun beachside walk.

But what if you’re not in the mood to spend the day traveling on foot?

Well, they also have a tram that travels along the boardwalk, and it only costs a couple of dollars per person. So hop aboard, or grab your walking shoes. Either way, you’re sure to enjoy the sights!

Breakwater beach waterpark

If you’re looking for some family fun, try this popular New Jersey waterpark.

They’ve got thrilling waterslides, attractions for small children, and even a hot tub for adults to relax in, so everyone in your group can enjoy their day there! You can also rent out a private cabana, which comes with lounge chairs, water, a locker rental, and more.

Check out the park website to learn more about their attractions and schedule your next trip.

Cape May

Whether it’s raining or sunny outside, you can find plenty of fun things to do in Cape May, New Jersey. Here’s a list of some of the most exciting options:

  • Go parasailing.
  • Rent a kayak.
  • Explore the local museums.
  • Go skydiving.
  • Play some golf.
  • Hang out on the beach.
  • Watch whales and dolphins.
  • Rent a surfboard.

If you’re not interested in any of these options, check out the Cape May website to see what else they have to offer. And keep in mind that they even have some dog-friendly attractions, so consider those if you want to bring your favorite furry friend along for the fun!

Battleship New Jersey

This attraction is a battleship-turned-museum that allows you to get a taste of what it was like to be a sailor on the ship. While touring the ship, you can learn about its history, view artifacts, explore its gun turrets, and even sit in Admiral Halsey’s chair!

You can also spend the night on the ship if you’d like. Up to 300 people can sleep on the ship at once, so it’s perfect for your next big group outing!

Hopefully, this post has given you some ideas for fun things to do in New Jersey. We’d love to talk about your sightseeing experiences next time you come into our office.

And remember – if your vision isn’t as good as you’d like it to be, contact us today to talk about LASIK. If you’re qualified, we can fix your eyes so you can clearly see the sights we’ve mentioned here and more in no time!
